Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie
Healthy. Easy. Delicious.
Peanut butter, chocolate, and bananas pair perfectly for a delicious treat.
I always have frozen bananas in my freezer for smoothie bowls or one of these types of sweet treats.
Here’s one of my favorites.
Ingredients
- 3-4 frozen ripe bananas
- 3 Tbsp cocoa
- 3 Tbsp peanut butter or PB2
- 1 Tbsp flax seed
- 1 cup almond or soy milk
- 3/4 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 2 Tbsp cacao nibs (sprinkle on top)
- Optional * 1–2 Tbsp maple syrup or 2 pitted Medjool dates
Directions
- Add all ingredients except the cacao nibs to the blender.
- Blend until creamy and smooth.
- Adjust milk if too thick, one tablespoon at a time.
- Adjust for taste. If you prefer more chocolate or peanut butter, try a teaspoon at a time.
- Add optional sweetener if desired.
- Top with the cacao nibs and serve.
